What are your “go-to” resources that speak God’s inclusive voice?

Picking up trusted favorites, even my beloved NRSV of scripture, leaves me wanting to cross out all the male pronouns for God. Yes, we are confessing that God is bigger than our gender constructs that have held us close in our former longings for the Holy Spirit. We are re-building our spiritual library to hold us during this time.

The word healing comes from the root word “to make whole” – to resolve the inner contradictions within our humanity, to release the full potential of what the Holy Spirit is doing around and through us.

Please share your “go-to” resources via the link below. Please indicate if the resource is a book, website, podcast, video, artist, musician, etc., so it is easier for us to curate and share with you and others. Our book budget won’t let us buy every book we want, so we need your help in crowd sourcing a curated list of helpful resources that can become a gift to the universe.

A few already on our list include:

  • The Inclusive Bible: The First Egalitarian Translation
  • Ordinary Blessings – Prayers, Poems, and Meditations for Everyday Life by Meta Herrick Carlson
  • Life Prayers from Around the World, 365 Prayers, Blessings, and Affirmations to Celebrate the Human Journey by Elizabeth Roberts and Elias Amidon

We hope you will add yours to the growing list here.

This month, as we honor African American Heritage Month, here is a list of helpful curated resources to continue the work against racism.
