Give Yourself Permission to Read

You won’t be sorry. Read in your areas of curiosity and passion – and stretch yourself to read from different genres of literature. Novels are like candy to me, so I have to manage myself to have a more rounded diet! How about you? What are you reading?

As usual, I can’t read fast enough. Even as I encourage you to read the books below, I have ordered Mark Yaconelli’s book Between the Listening and the Telling. Each book is like a friend, challenging my thinking and offering me a fresh look at my life. I don’t have to agree with every word I read. In fact, it is often that very tension that makes a book worth reading in my opinion.

Here are the books I’m reading or re-reading right now:

Lead from the Outside by Stacey Abrams
Biased by Jennifer L. Eberhardt
Building a Healthy Multi-Ethnic Church by Mark Deymaz
Presence by Peter Senge, C. Otto Scharmer, Joseph Jaworski, Betty Sue Flowers
The Wisdom Pattern by Richard Rohr
Teams that Thrive by Ryan T Hartwig and Warren Bird

What books are you reading, or re-reading? We would love to hear!
